Hello,

I recently bought an Inspiron 15 5000 5593 laptop and for some reason the CPU and GPU idle temperatures at between 51-61 degrees and if I use anything as simple as a YouTube tab, the temperature spikes to 65+ degrees on both CPU and GPU and the fans go insane. 

Haven't had an issue with overheating, i.e. forced shutdown, but the constant high fan speed is really annoying.

I examined the fan vents (externally) and there seems to be no kind of blockage. I even have the laptop propped up on a cooling rack, but the high temperatures persist. It is very weird for a brand new (less than a week old) laptop to be overheating and producing so much noise.

 

I'm running the latest BIOS as of the time I'm writing this (1.20) and I even tried turning off the Turbo Boost technology from the BIOS in hopes it was just amping the cores too much for some reason, but to no avail.

Any ideas on how to fix this?
