Whispermode 2.0 not enabled by notebook

I own a G15 5510 and when I open the nvidia geforce experience, the whispermode 2.0 section says that it is not enabled by the notebook. Everything else is okay, I have the latest bios version and my drivers are up to date. Does anyone have a solution.

You might be able to try to adjust the performance mode/fan setting profiles, sometimes it will allow this to work, but if it doesn't it just means it is controlled by the system (I believe this was already mentioned in the chat). Unfortunately I have seen mixed results on various models for when this can be enabled/not enabled.

I had same issue with my x17 r2 i had it on then i messed around and went away but found out that if you set the settings on AWCC to quiet it will pop back up on GeForce. Hope this helps.

If we are talking about thermal profiles in Alienware command center I tried to change it, but it didn't help.

I hoped that there could be some options in UEFI settings/Windows registry that blocking whispermode 2.0, but haven't found info in the internet.

I found a way go to battery saver mode in settings and that should do it

Same issue, I gave up trying to fix this one. No matter what fan or battery settings I use it just isn't enabled by notebook. I only game when plugged in anyway so not really a problem for me. You could use nvidia geforce experience to optimize your game for battery power which will lower the graphics significantly but should make your fans much quieter as a result.
