Does the InsightIQ supports Rokcy Linux?
To Whom It May Concern,
I hope this message finds you well.
One of my customers would like to run InsightIQ 6.10 on Rocky Linux 8.10. However, when attempting the installation, it stopped at Step 1 of the Installation Pre-Check.
I would like to confirm two points:
- Does Dell have any plans to officially support Rocky Linux as a compatible OS for InsightIQ in the future?
- Since Rocky Linux is a binary-compatible fork of RHEL, it seems likely that InsightIQ could run on Rocky Linux without major issues. Therefore, could you please clarify why InsightIQ supports RHEL but not Rocky Linux?

Anything is possible if they become a really big distro will a full support team and paid support contracts.

Thanks for your question.
It is not validated. We don’t have any information on future releases, but I wouldn’t expect it, typically it is only RHEL, SLES and Ubuntu because we have partnerships with them.
