Latitude 7390 Touchpad issue
The touchpad on my Dell Latitude 7390 has become unresponsive to left and right clicks. This problem began after a recent Windows update.
Troubleshooting Attempts:
- Cleaning: I cleaned the touchpad to remove any dirt causing the issue.
- Driver Reinstallation: I uninstalled and reinstalled the touchpad drivers from the Dell website.
- Windows Reinstallation: I performed a fresh installation of Windows 11, and the touchpad worked correctly for a few days. However, the problem returned after the next Windows update.
I need help resolving this issue. Please guide me on the following:
- Compatible Drivers: Are there specific drivers or driver versions known to be compatible with my device and the latest Windows 11 update?

Thanks a lot for your quick response!
I have checked the battery and hardware.
The touchpad itself is working normally, but the right and left click buttons are malfunctioning.
When I reinstall Windows 11, the issue is resolved. However, the problem returns after Windows updates.

Remove the base cover and check the condition of the battery. If it is starting to swell, it needs to be removed immediately and then be replaced.
It's very common for the first sign of a swollen battery to be an issue with the touchpad or the touchpad buttons.
