Bios Update Killed my Alienware Aurora ALX
I was updaing my Aurora ALX Bios from A9 to A11 but it frozed my pc for over 2 hours so i shut the computer down by powering off with the power off button.
When i tried to reboot my pc it just reboots itself constantly but there were no bios posts on screen (just black screen). My pc is dead what should i do? Is there a way to fix this?

OK thank you all i just made a call to Dell and Ravi just got someone to send me the new motherboard and a technician will come the day after.
I love Dell support they are the best!!!

UPDATE the technician is infact coming today to fix it omg great Dell service.

OMG i cant believe Dell fixed my pc so fast .....

If i recal right you haven't had the system for to long so it should still be under warranty. Call Dell and explain what happend or send Chris a message and he can get the new board for you.

They don't have them Tesla. All she can do is replace the board.

I'm not sure if these boards have a dual bios (backup bios), but try this cmos reset. I got this from the Aurora Service Manual (see it for pictures).
Clearing Forgotten Passwords and CMOS Settings
Follow the instructions in "Before You Begin" on page 1. 6.
WARNING: The computer must be disconnected from the electrical outlet to clear the CMOS setting.
Remove the left side-panel (see "Removing the Left Side-Panel" on page 2. 11).
Reset the current password and CMOS settings: 3.
Locate the 3-pin CMOS or password-reset jumper on the system board a. (see "System Board Components" on page 14).
Remove the jumper plug from the CMOS or password-reset jumper b. pins 2 and 3.
Place the jumper plug on the CMOS or password-reset jumper c. pins 1 and 2 and wait for approximately five seconds.
Replace the left side-panel (see "Replacing the Left Side-Panel" on page 4. 11).
Connect your computer and devices to electrical outlets and then turn 5. them on.

Sounds like you need a new motherboard.
You can try resetting the CMOS but I think it's toast.

I am sure Chris will see this post before the day is over. Just hang around untill he does if you can. To send him a message just click on any post he has made. Then click hes name and send him a private message. Make sure you include all your info like what is wrong and the service tag.
I am almost 100% sure you need a new motherboard. Your only shot at not needing one is the CMOS reset and that is a long shot at best.

How do i get Chris to replace my mother board?I am trying to avoid india or philipine call centre because they kept asking me over and over and over and over what my name and tag is by 20 different people in a space of 2 hours phone call.
I am having a real hard time dealing with the Philipine or India Call centre.
