absolutely nothing

the alienware logo appears, and no matter what, if i press f2 or f12 ( what im instructed on screen) or f8 , ctrl f11, absolutely nothing happens, and the pc goes to windows login screen. 

please help, i have been trying to get to factory restore, but to no avail
