My E510 had the blinking amber light thing for a long time but always booted.

Now it will not boot by the power button at all.

If I unplug it for 15 sec and replug it to power it will spin up the PS and system fans but not boot.

The system just powers down.

I jumped the green to black wire and the drive spins up.

 

I've tried removing all peripherals, mem, Vid, USB, etc and no joy.

 

I dont want to spend $50 going over the same stuff other users have gone thru just to get no answer.

 

Dell - is there a solution to the problem?
