The last few days my Dimension 9100 would not do a cold boot (first boot of the day). No Splash Screen at all. I would have to try 4 or 5 times to get the computer to boot. I thought the problem might be the power supply. Strange thing is subsequent restarts are flawless. I called tech support who suggested a Check disk, which I performed. I will see what happens but I have a feeling that there is some kind of hardware failure. What do you guys think? By the way, I am dual booting Vista with XP. I'm not sure this info really matters.
