Overclocking Programs

I have been told that Overclcoking Programs such as http://www.cpuid.com/clockgen.php will work with Dell computers but i wanted to run it by people who actually use dells and might know somthing about these.
So do they work with dell dimesions?

In general, they do not work.

Mostly only the high end XPS systems can be some what overclocked.  Bios is locked out for your E520.

You can overclock the GPU ( Graphic ) but not the integrated video chip if that is what you have

Overclocking a Dell system other than a XPS 700 710 720 will void your warranty, so I would not do so for so little gain. But here is a link to read on doing so on some systems

http://www.starless.nl/overclock  Dim 9200 system, not a mid range 520 system.  Just for reading only.
