PLEASE HELP! Dimension XPSB100R (Multimedia Audio Controller)

I reformated my hard drive. Installed WINXP. Everything works accept for the Multimedia Audio Controller. I have the Soundblaster Live 5.1 When I go to there site, it tells me all software is installed properly. When I download the software to install it anyway, it tells me I don't have a soundblaster card. Somebody help please!

    You are right. that is because the bxxxr did not ship with XP. If it is a Dell card try to find a system that shipped with that card and XP and you will probably find drivers for it. Do you know the card model number by chance?

    Try the drivers from the Dell sight and see if they make a difference

    The wierd thing is, when I do that. Dell only offers user guides.. No audio drivers. Unless I'm looking in the wrong place.

    It did not work. It says that setup could not find the soundblaster audio card connected to your system. Which is false. Because the rest of the drivers work, accept for the Multimedia Audio Controller

    Try the drivers for a dimension 8300

    Sounds like your system doesn't recognize the card. Did you check the device manager to rule out any device conflicts? Did you try taking the card out and reseating it? Don't forget to ground yourself before touching the card.

    None of these worked. Does anybody have any other ideas?

    Here is what it says:
    The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
