Power supply cables...
Dunno if this is the place to ask it but here goes. Will a computer bought in America run in Europe I ask this because I think the voltage in America is 110 (if I'm not mistaken) and here in Europe (Belgium) it's 220. Could this be solved by changing the voltage on the PSU itself and could I just buy new power cables?
I hope you've got some answers for me.

Would it be possible to just use any power cable like an old dell power cable?

Power cable as in AC cord? It will work if it fits into the 3 prong plug.

Yes I did mean the AC power cables. Could anyone confirm that you can change the voltage of the psu (which should be 110V in America) with a switch on the PSU to 220V?

- Depends on your system model. Some of them have the switch to change from 110 to 220, others are fully automatic and run from 90-260 volts or so. There MAY be some models that are not switchable. Post the model or look it up under the 'Reference' tab above.

Any power cable which fits the power supply would do.But that really dosent change the voltage from 110 to 220chrisdaemz

Didn't really wanne post this but It's an HP computer. Do you reckon I'll be able to adjust the voltage?

Yes, it will work. Not enough smart people at the HP board? HP...you're stuck with the recovery data on the HDD.
