Wondering if anyone can help.

I recently had to reinstall Windows 7 on my XPS 8100 after a crash, since doing so I cannot read SD cards plugged into the card reader using Windows Explorer.

If I plug a card in it appears in the list of devices with removable storage but if I click on it Explorer pops up a message box saying - "Please insert a disk into SD/mini-MMC/RS (F:)"

I have checked and the card reader is showing up in Device Manager, and selecting properties it says the device is working properly.

Also if I right-click 'My Computer' and select 'Manage' and then 'Disk Management' the plugged in SD card shows as Disk 2 Removable 3.69 GB Online and the box to the right shows a blue line at the top and the following -
(F:)
3.69 GB RAW
Healthy (Primary Partition)

So from all of the above I assume that the drivers are loaded OK but for some reason Explorer does not see the card.

I can read the cards fine when they are plugged into a Sandisk USB Card Reader so all is not lost, but it would be good to get the installed card reader working again.

Any ideas/suggestions gratefully accepted.
