I am not sure where to post, so excuse me if I post in the wrong section. I have a Dimension 4600. When I go to turn it on it comes right on, but when it is time to shut it down it takes a lot longer. Is this true with everyone else? Or is there a problem? It is slower to shut down than the Compaq with Windows 98 that I just replaced, so that is why I am concerned. Also, anytime the computer is on it makes these noises at times. Some noises sound sort of like the monitors sound like at the hospital when a person is connected to one. At other times it makes a funny sounding noise that I can't describe. And it doesn't matter if the computer is being used in some way or if it is just waiting to be used, it will make these noises. Is this normal?
