Hello,
I am writing this e-mail to complain about the bad technical service from Dell representatives in Colombia, and from Texas.
I purchased a Dell Dimension XPS T600r on the month of February with the order number of 339950743 and the customer purchase order number of 144466789. The customer account is 4843718. This computer has given me lots of problems.
First: When I insert a music cd in my DVD drive, the music comes from only one speaker, and when I insert a DVD movie, the DVD drive´s green light starts blinking and the computer locks up.
Second: I have called several times Dell representatives in Colombia, and unfortunately they only have one person to attend the customers. I have waited a long time to be attended and I still havent gotten the service. In Texas, my salesman Mr. Jose Garcia advised me to call the technical support department and I did. I did not get any answers to my questions.
Third: The questions are the following:
1. The computer has an USB port. I have a Sony Camcorder Digital, Model TRV 9. I want to pass all my recorded tapes from the camcorder to the computer. I bought the MGI Photo Suite to use it with the camera and I couldn´t pass the recorded tapes to my pc. Which is the RECOMENDED cable to use to connect the camera to the USB port?
2. I also have problems with my printer and scanner.
Scanner: The problem with the scanner is that I cant get the appropriate cable to conenct it with the computer because the computer does not have the port. The scanner is a Hewllet Packard Scanjet 5p.
Printer: My printer is a HP 932C Deskjet. When I use the internet explorer and I want to print something from the internet like for example my e-mail, the computer shows me an error message and the computer locks up.
Fourth: Which is the USB connector would you advise me to buy with the USB capability for this type of computer that we can use for ataching other equipments as camcorders, digital cameras, scanners, etc...
I was advised to buy the XIRCOM Port Station Dell part #1019132.
