This much Ram a Waste?

I currently am using Windows 98SE. I had 256 mb of RAM and a day or so ago I upgraded to 512mb ram. Now I'm hearing that with Win98, that anything over 256mb ram is essentially wasted because Win98 doesn't really use anything over 256mb. Is that true?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

    This is not true.
Windows 98 can and will use up to 2GB of memory if you are running programs that require that much memory. It does have a memory bug like most versions of windows using more than 512MB of memory. You can read about and find the simple fix at the bottom of the page here.
