Tools-internet options- settings

In IE, I go to Tools- Internet Options, then the settings in the General Tab. There are four choices in "Check for newer versions of stored pages".I have mine for "Everytime you start Internet Explorer". Is that the recommended one to have? I just got DSL. Any feedback would be welcome..Mark

I'd vote for either, "Automatic" or, "Every Visit To The Page".

    Uncle Mark,
Most browsers may be set to cache files so that it doesn't have to download the same files over and over ( good idea if you have a slow connection/modem). Site's I frequent often are dynamic and change every day and work better if files are not cached. Therefore my preferred setting is Every visit to the page. With DSL, I'm not as concerned with caching the pages .

No apology necessary, Pamela...I'm normally on the other end of a close race. Nice to see you around more. Aloha...
