What is the best processor for a notebook?
Hey guys I am wanting a new notebook, and want a very powerful one, for gaming, apps, and everything else. recording music. All that good stuff. I guess I am just wondering what is the most powerful even if it is not a dell. thanks. My current set-up is Inspiron 9300 Centrino 2.26 Ghz Pentium M 780 2GB Ram 100GB 7200RPM HD Also I know that not really anyone suggests OCing but I have been looking and found a few sites with some hints on overclocking the Pentium M Centrino But I have had no luck with getting it to work. I've tried some software but with no luck. Anyone Know. i have a spare 1.73GHZ processor so even if I can OVerclock it then if I wreck it it really wont matter. I have heard of guys Overclocking the 1.73 to 2.0Ghz so I figured the 2.26 should be able to be raised to 2.5 or so without having to worry about overheating it. Thanks again guys. Chad

It is much better. Especially if you want a quad core. The XPS doesn't have that capability.
