Ok this is what is cooking with my machine.

1. Microphone connected to the mic/line in laptop on AC recoding to any voice rec program (even XP voice recorder) getting constant static noise, upon disconnecting the AC and running the rec. program static is gone.

2. No option for recording the "what you hear" so I can not record live audio from the internet. I tried many different programs. There is just no option to choose from only record from microphone or line-in.

3. No new drivers. What a bad audio card this is? No support from the manufacture of the SigmaTel chip. Is Dell joking with this laptop? Did anyone check the SigmaTel ADVANCED SETTINGS in control panel?? Speaking advanced. You must be a Rocket Scientist to figure out where to click first.

When I contacted the Indian dell support, they are sending me new AC to resolve my problem #1 and adviced me not to use it because it may be safety issue. ?????

For problem # 2 my Indian friend John ?? did not understand my question and put me on hold for 25 min. after which I heard 2 beeps and than spoke to Friend from Bombay- now his name was Jerry. He advice me to wait for the new AC and that may resolve even my problem #2. Now that was a good answer (something that I want to hear) AC adapter with a magic capabilities.

Please post any ideas or comments that you have with this audio card.
