I own a Dell Vostro 3000 series laptop. When I plug it into the AC socket a BIOS message pops up that it cannot read the wattage therefore the battery is not charging. Initially it was just one socket now it's 3/4 in different rooms in the house.

I have managed to get the battery charging in another room. But I would prefer to charge it in the room I am working in.

I've looked at the set-up before the computer boots up and it says the battery is fine so it's not it.

What do I do now?
