E1505 "E" key replacement?

hi y'all!

well, the young grandson managed to toss a kids book, landing it on my keyboard.  the "E" key popped right off.  the key is not broken, the little scissor-acting things on the back of the key are not broken. i can see how it connects with the two itty-bitty pins on the key things sliding into the two itty-bitty slots in the metal bracket on the board, but for the life of me, i cant seem to get the little bugger to slide back in.

anyone have any secret tricks or tips?

thanks

In most cases you can not replace a key

    Replace the keyboard

If it's under warranty DELL will send you a new keyboard

If not a keyboard is less than $50

Laptop keypads can be had for cheap, especially on eBay. I wouldn't bother trying to fix a key. If you've got Completecare, Dell will have one out to you the next day (they've done so for me twice).

    hmmm,
i did renew my warranty for two more years, i assume keyboard replacement is not difficult?  i've dug around in desktops for years, never a laptop.
