Studio 1535 -- replaced screen cable - updated bios A06 - still resolution not adjustable, is there another bios to flash? suggestions

i don't believe screen has been replaced though i purchased used and i installed intel driver manually

Has the screen been replaced at any point?
Are the video drivers correctly loaded?
Next question would be - was it working correctly when you purchased it?

yes up until i upgraded to Win 7 32bit then was working no problem then there was no video but would work using monitor plug so i replaced the cable and now it runs great just screen is half
