I have an Dell Latitude but the battery is bad and would like to flash the bios to a newer version.

How can I flash the bios without an battery attached to the system?

The flash keeps telling be to insert the battery but it in the slot but the battery is bad.

without having to purchase a new battery can I flash the bios?
