Have a new Inspiron 1564. BIOS A01, 4Gb memory, i3 proc, Windows 7.

Had it about 3 weeks or so now.

When I press the power button, sometimes it powers on immediately, and sometimes I have to hold my finger on the button for up to 10 seconds.

It does it with or without the battery inserted, and with or without the power connected.  I have tried all variations, and from the time that I push (and hold) the power button until the power indicator light comes on and the machine boots (or comes back from Hibernate) is fluctuating between those times (immediate to about 10 seconds).

Anybody else seeing this? . . . I might just have a bad one.
