I don't know if this applies to this message board, but I'll give it a shot. I reinstalled windows the other day, and I have updated the drivers, installed the programs I had to, etc. I still have a problem however. I have tried everything-updating the drivers for my graphics card, defragging and disk cleanup, checking my virtual memory, and making sure I have the most recent version of directx.

 

Windows is starting up slowly and my games are not working. When I open my game, the sound keeps going but the video is a series of stills which don't even follow along with the sound. I am assuming this is a video problem, but I have no idea. If there is anyone out there who can help me before I drop a ton of money on software support from dell, I would greatly appreciate it.
