I have a Inspiron E1705 and I got it yesterday and I was wondering where is the mouse hook up?

The only kind of mouse hook-up it has is a USB one.

Unfortunately if you have a PS/2 Mouse ( Circular connection ) it will not plug in anywhere.

You will need to purchase a USB mouse.

However it does have a TOUCHPAD and if you can get used to using that you'll be much better off. I've found that I can do stuff much quicker with a touchpad than a regular mouse once I learned how to fully use it.

It is also possible to buy USB to PS/2 mouse/keyboard converters.

It's usually better to just upgrade your mouse. Chances are a PS/2-only mouse is also mechanical instead of optical, and mechanical mice are horrible compared to even el cheapo opticals.
