My wife's E1705 has no sound. I checked the sound settings in Control Panel and everything is grayed out. I also saw that she had a Sigma audio icon in Control Panel but when I click on it I get a message that it is not installed. I then downloaded and installed the driver from Dell's site but during installation I get a message that says "please wait while your audio hardware is updated, once that goes away the driver starts to install for a second but then the installation screen just disappears.I also checked under Device manager and there are no question marks or exclamation marks, I checked the audio hardware but it just says unknown hardware with no drivers. Can anyone tell me what could be the problem and what I can do to fix it?
