SLOW LAPTOP
I bought an Inspiron 600m last August and have encountered a few problems since then. It is running VERY slow, seems like it has 166mhz and 5mb RAM, but it has 1.4Ghz and 512mb RAM. My programs will run so slowly that they will "not respond" sometimes and when the Windows task manager pops up, it says that my CPU Usage is at 100% all the time. I am not running very many programs in my task bar and I would like to know how to make my cpu run programs as it should.

Have you checked it for spyware? You can quarrantine them or hit "next" which will delete the files. Make sure you get any updates.
edit: you will have to check each box next to each item before you quarrantine/delete. Review the items found to see what they are. Ussually trackers.

Most of the time I get Data miners. Also, if it detects that the files/programs are running and cannot be deleted then Ad-aware will start up when you restart your computer and it will prevent any applications that don't need to be run not allowed to be run until it is done it's work (like the start bar will not show until you quit Ad-aware).Hey there!
I have found that just Adaware is not enough but use it and Spybot together and you will be just fine.
Also defrag your hard drive once a week....
Oh and if you do not run the update features on both products then it will be worthless to download them in the first place.........

meh everyone says that the two together make the perfect package but for me I see that Adaware gets the same things plus more than Spybot S&D.
