I posted in the micorosft OS forum, but this might be more appropriate - current option for UK 1545 laptops is 64bit Windows 7, nothing else.
I ordered a new machine for my dad, only have just found out that the app he needs will not run on 64bit windows 7 and needs a 32bit operating system.

I have spoken to lots of dell people but just get blocked with there is no option.

Is there anyone anywhere who can ship me the 32bit media for either vista or windows 7?   I know that both work as I have another 1545 which runs 32bit vista... which raises a point actually, can I just use that recover disk on another dell ? Do I need to activate windows or is the dell cd an OEM version which will just work ?
