Windows 7 user

Hi,

I have really no idea what has happened.

Recently I created a new user account named "Test12", after few days I removed the user account. Once the user account was removed and I rebooted the computer the user account was automatically recreated.

I have tried deleting the user account from control panel, Local users and groups, using the option "netplwiz", from the command prompt using the command

net user test12 /delete

All the 4 option above deletes the user account and once I reboot the computer at the login prompt the user account is back

Please some guide here to fix the issue.

Open an elevated command prompt and type

    net user test12 /active:no

Thanks Paul and Dell Allan-D for the replies

Paul, I command you updated will disable the account. I had tried that step. If any one wants to create the user account with same name that is test12  then it is not possible.

This will work as long as disabling the user account is fine.

Dell Allan-D, I had performed same steps from the link which you updated but issue was not fixed.

Later I some how came across this link and issue was fixed

    support.microsoft.com/.../947215

    Thank you for your help

    Regards
