So ive had this dell xps laptop since december, and ive had may fair share of problems with it and vista, but ive always been able to solve them and usually have a pleasant experience. However, ive been toiling for hours and hours over the last few days on this problem with no solution yet.

 

My internet was running just fine recently, im connected wirelessly to a router which is upstairs, and i get an excellent signal with speeds between 25 and 35 mbps. However, just recently (over the past few days, certain websites have been running extremely slow, it will take me 5 minutes to open a page that usually took a second. I have tried these sites on 3 different browsers and i have the same problem. When i use another laptop connected to the network, it works fine. the weird thing is, most sites run very fast like they usually do, these select few just all the sudden became unbearably slow. I have ran chkdsk, did a system restore, scanned for viruses, reinstalled web browsers, defragmented, ran diagnostics, disconnected and reconnected to the network, and still nothing works to speed it up. Im considering doing a complete image restore but am reluctant since the restore point i used did not fix the problem. If anyone could help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

With ultimate guitar everything runs fine except when i actually try to look at a tab page, then it takes forever. pretty much everything on justinguitar runs slowly.
