I have a dell desktop which is presently experiencing some technical hitches. It frequently displays the information "Low on virtual memory". With the aforesaid information having been displayed every application running begins to act incoherently. I find it difficult to save, delete as well as perform other tasks.
I have tried to defragment the drive as well as carry out a disk scan. I would like to know what the causes for such a problem are as well as possible ways of rectifying it
Either your virtual memory is set too low, you do not have enough main memory or a combination of both. You did not list your computer model number, nor your amount of main memory with your post, so our crystal ball will not work unless you do :smileywink:
