Monitor Never Turns Off

I have my screensaver (the Aquarium) sets after 5 minutes, and the Monitor turns off after 10 minutes. But the monitor never turns off, even after hours. What should I do to fix it?

I have XPS 400, XP Media Center, 2007WFP

Thanks

set the monitor to go into power save mode when your computer shuts off monitor.

How do you do do that?
I have done that on Display Properties - Power, and set "Turn Off Monitor" after 5 minutes.

It doesn't seem to work

Which Aquarium screensaver?

Serene Screen MarineAquarium has an application setting, "Disable monitor sleep mode" checkbox. Note the negative wording.

Which display cable are you using? If it's not the Dell one try it.

This is my Rev02 replacement of 2007WFP. Im using the cable from my Rev00 monitor. Anyway, the monitor does turn off now. Don't know why. Maybe it's just tired to stay on all the time..
