My monitor flickers. I have gone to display and changed refresh rate to 60 hertz. That worked for a few days--but every morning I had to keep refreshing it.

I turned off the computer and the monitor--and the monitor had a white lit screen instead of the black screen with the Dell insignia. Do I need a new monitor or is there 

something I can do?
