Go to SolutionU3818DW, No audio from line out?
The manual states that the U3818DW has a line out. I have an external speaker plugged in (on and working, pulled from other machine), but the audio is still being played out of the built-in speakers. The fact that I have any audio at all indicates that the monitor is receiving audio through the DisplayPort. Audio section in the OSD does not show any options for choosing between built-in and line out.
I am not sure what I missed.

I received a private message that resolved the issue.
All you need to do is disable the internal speakers and it will automatically use line out.
