Can not use localy connected device

Hello experts. this is a strange one to me.
i have multiple devices on multiple storage nodes. i want to use the locally connected device \\.\Tape6
if i set nsrserverhost as a storage node on a client i receive the "check storage nodes devices and pools" error but the other tape drives within the same pool just work
the device can not be used for any client backups. only the bootstrap is being saved onto this device.

can anybody point me to some settings i should check to resolve this behaviour please?

In the pools, have you selected the drives eligible for being used for backups of that pool. Also check which pools media is mounted in the drive when you are backing up the client.

yes everything is set up ok as far as i know. if i put more storage nodes into the client settings the second storage node configured in the same pool the same way is being used automatically without any problems.
i have special group for indexes and bootstrap. can it be that because of the bootstrap backup the device is somehow reserved for only that kind of backup and no other can be used?

If you are using Dedicated storage nodes, then it would not use local drives. Local drives will be used only for bootstrap and index backups.

It sounds as configuration issue. One would need to check your nsrdb to be sure what is really going on - I would suggest you send it to your support.
