We have a S3048-ON switch in the system. The port of the S3048 switch is connected to PCs and PLCs.

An error condition in a PLC send high traffic in the order of 500MB/sec which blocked the VLAN .

The S3048-ON switch has 2 VLAN, VLAN5 and VLAN10. 

The PLC is connected to VLAN5. The management port of the switch is connected to VLAN10. The traffic caused the switch to be inaccessible and has to access the switch manually to disconnect the faulty PLC from the switch port.

how to implement storm control in each port of S3048-ON switch to avoid similar network down issue?

Which is a better feature to control broadcast traffic send from the PC/PLC to the network switch in S3048-ON?
