D610 Internal Wireless Card Software
I work in an area that does not allow for wireless connections except in specific spots. It is a violation of our security policy to activate a wireless connection even for a moment. What I am wondering is if there is a means by which to set the internal wireless card in the D610 to off upon boot. Then as a user I can choose to activate it when needed from with in Windows. Thank you for your time.

not sure what you mean. The function f2 toggles it on/off. But if you mean can it be off everytime I switch the computer on, then I would guess no. Your best bet if you need wifi would be to have a PCMCIA card and only insert when required. Otherwise buy a Toshiba which has an external switch, but I shouldn't say that on Dell site! :robotsurprised:
