I have a new computer, had for about 2 weeks now, 3 times now I have tried to go online and it tells me that there is no internet connection. I know there is a connection since I have vonage phone and it is working. I do the troubleshooting and it tells me the dns server is not responding. I am not an expeienced computer person, what does this mean? I never had this happen with the old computer. I had to do system restore to get it to work but I don't think I should have to do that every few days for the computer/internet to work. It is a regular desktop with windows 7 and it is cable internet, no wireless, no second computer. Any ideas to stop this from happening again? I have to keep reinstalling all my programs since the system restore keeps removing them.
