If you did not order the I 1300 with an internal wireless network adapter, you will need a USB wireless network adapter.  You will also need a wireless router.  The other computer may be able to connect to the router by a wired ethernet connection, if it has an ethernet network adapter and if it will be located close enough to the router to be able to connect by an ethernet cable.  If you are planning on sharing a broadband internet connection, you will also have to make sure that your broadband modem can connect by etherent.  If it can only connect by USB, then you will need a new modem, as routers capable of making a USB connection to a modem are impossible to find.

The simplest way to connect to another computer wirelessly is to create an ad hoc (peer to peer) connection.  It is much cheaper and simpler and you don't have to purchase anything.  All you'll need are two PC with wireless cards.  Go to the wireless utility window. Create a new network and choose ad hoc and a network name. then create it. You're ready to go. All the other PC needs to do is to view available network and the ad hoc that you created will show up. Presto.
