Dell PE R730 - How to enable hyperthreading
Hi all, Can anyone help me in trying to enable HyperThreading on a Dell PE R730? Have looked in the BIOS but not found anything which hints at being this option. We are being asked by VMware to enable this feature on the server. I am running BIOS 2.7.0 which is fairly recent. Have R710 and R720 which are running previous versions of BIOS and these have the feature showing.

Hello,
If you go into the BIOS and then into the Processor Settings, you can enable and disable the Logical Processor setting. That should be what you're looking for, just under another name. The documentation shows it as enabled by default. The web client also can enable and disable hyperthreading at the software level. VMware has an article on it here.
