Hot or not?????

I have recently seen a number of PowerEdge servers available to buy second hand on sites like eBay and Loot.  Is there any way i can run a check on these servers using their Service Tag to see if they my have been stolen or not before i purchase any?

I am a little paranoid of buying something that may be stolen and then suffering the consequences!

I don't believe there is a customer accessible way to see if a server has been reported stolen or not (the owner would have had to call Dell and report it stolen).

I don't have that kind of access.

Also, Dell most likely wouldn't provide the information of the currently registered owner to anyone other than the currently registered owner. This would be part of customer confidentiality.
