Hi all,

I have several Poweredge R420 servers, one of which I cannot get the iDrac to work on.

The server is running Centos linux 7.x and I have installed the openmanage server management tools.

dropping to a command shell and typing :

racadm getsysinfo
ERROR: Unable to perform requested operation

I have tried resetting the iDrac both by holding down the i button for 30 seconds and by re-booting the server, going into the bios and telling it to do a hard reset.

I also can't get the drac to respond on it's configured IP address.

I have other R420s on which this works fine with the same software environment.

 

Does anyone have any clue why this is not working?
