I installed a zotac GeForce gtx 1050 mini in my power edge t310 and it won’t acknowledge the gpu in any way aside from the fan spinning up. No video from the gpu, only the onboard even when the card is installed. Is the gpu compatible? I’m planninng to use it as a normal desktop and would be overjoyed to hear it is compatible and there’s a fix, thanks
There are no GPUs validated for the T310. If you are able to get a GPU to work in the server it would be something that requires very little power from the PCIe slot and no additional external power. You can find slot specifications and other information in the manual on the server support page.
Very few of our servers support GPGPUs. I can't think of any of our servers that support GPUs, but we may have one. If you need a system that is a mixture of server and PC capabilities then I suggest getting a workstation.
