Hi,

I'm running into problems trying to boot my 2950 from a bootable CD.  The CD was burned by me, from an .iso file, works on other systems (PCs), but the 2950 doesn't like it.  Instead it responds with error messag of "No Boot Device Available... ...Press F1 to re-try or F2 to enter Setup"

I tested several variations of CDs, burners and .ISOs, and even a 3rd party factory-produced boot CD.  the 2950 gives the same failure mode for all of them.

However, I tested one of the Dell boot CDs, which came with the server, and, *surprise!*, the server boots fine!

I tested a second, identical server and it gives the same results.

The servers, 2950's with PERC 5/i.  After ruling-out so many potential causes I am beginning to suspect that this server requires something special (or, unknown to me!) in order for a CD to be bootable (controller driver?!!).

Any ideas?
