No Boot device found
T1700 SFF desktop. I bought off Goodwill in 2022 And had Windows 10 installed. I fired it up in 2022 and it was working fine. I had bought it for a backup. I forgot about it as I had it in the closet. I fired it up a couple days ago and now get "No boot device found press any key to continue" I checked the cmos battery and it was completely dead. I replaced the cmos battery with a new one. No change. Ran diagnostics in F12 . Everything passed. Looked in F2 also but don't really know what I'm looking for. I'm an old man with limited computer skills. Any help would be appreciated.

Besides JOcean great advise, you may verify SATA operation mode to try either ATA, AHCI, or RAID ON as one of them was being used for Windows 10 installed. Boot device not found if SATA mode was changed.

@Chino de Oro Thank You for your help. It turns out i needed to go from Legacy boot to Uefi. However after windows reset I was doing windows updates. Upon last update and restart I got a black screen. After 2-3 minutes it shut down and restarted And again I got a black screen. Mouse and keyboard don't appear to be working. I'm am so frustrated. Any help or suggestions would be extremely appreciated.

How to Recover the BIOS on a Dell Computer or Tablet | Dell US
and try to see if ctrl+esc ( as mentioned in that article ) pressed for a while, results in the bios recovery screen to appear

If the battery was dead than I would suggest accessing the BIOS and make sure that Windows Boot Manager is first on the list of boot devices. Also when you replaced the battery did you leave a battery out of the system for 15 minutes before installing the new one?
