Precision T3660 Power Supply Options Part 2

I had a thread that was locked, despite no resolution https://www.dell.com/community/Precision-Fixed-Workstations/Precision-T3660-Power-Supply-Options/td-p/8254020

The T3660 is only configurable with a 500 watt power supply, but I have seen 750 watt and 1000 watt units for sale from the Dell Outlet. In my previous thread, Chris M listed several options from the XPS and Alienware models, but none are available to purchase. So I guess the only way to get a bigger power supply is to wait until one shows up on the Outlet. How were those purchased in the first place, and how can buyers choose higher wattage PSUs when configuring new T3660 Precisions?

I’m in a similar position but dell seem to be unhelpful of upgrading PSUs

I may go down the Corsair or Evga route instead. My 3650 tower uses a standard ATX PSU

It was just a simple search.  Were you able to place order?  Link is still active.

You wouldn't want an after sales pricy Dell OEM unit.  Consider your fortunate to have a standard ATX with many upgrade options.
