I recieved a Precision 5540 mobile workstation from my workplace and I'm beyond dissapointed with the video performance when connected to a docking station. It used to very snappy and quick to connect to multiple displays, however recently there is an incredible amount of lag launching applications and just mouse clicks. After reviewing task manager there is no resource contention and I'm pushing around 5-10% max on all the system components, so this is not an issue with overtaxing my system (i9, 32GB RAM, 512 NVMe, T2000). According to what I've read Dell uses the Intel HD graphics to handle multiple monitors instead of using the Nvidia card and if you disable the intel graphics then you're limited to one screen. Is there any kind of solution or optimization to this ? I run support assist and I'm on the latest updates to firmware and system available. I just want the laptop to display to my three monitors without lag when I'm just browsing the internet or opening documents.

Update October 1 = After uninstalling the Nvidia driver, the Dell Nvidia driver did not want to install. So I got the drivers directly from Nvidia. So far that seems to have resolved the issue. I'll reach back out if I start seeing the same lag as before! Thanks for your help. wmtanderson
I'm having the same issue with a new 5540 that we've deployed. It's running through a TB16 and the monitor in question is running on the DisplayPort connection. I just installed the 452.39 update and restarted this and no change in behavior.
