Ubuntu Fingerprint Driver for Precision 5530?
Anybody have anything for getting the fingerprint reader working on a Precision 5530 running Ubuntu 21.04?
I did find this similar discussion on the Dell forums regarding the fingerprint reader for an XPS and someone reported they used that to get it running on a different Precision model, but I'm still a few days new to Ubuntu and found the script hard to parse + wanted to see if anyone had experience with this Precision model.

Small update. Tried the drivers in the above linked thread ( https://www.dell.com/community/XPS/XPS-13-9300-Does-fingerprint-reader-work-on-linux/td-p/7514958/highlight/true/page/4 ) but the 5530 does indeed have a different FPR device not supported by those drivers. As apparently Shenzhen Goodix is terrible about releasing drivers, there may not be much hope unless some absolute chad out there has taken it upon themselves to write the driver.
