It seems the P1500 is basically a Lexmark E321, but the Lexmark Toner cartridges will not work.  It fits just fine but the ready lite goes off and the toner lite flashes.  The cartridges look identical, even down to all the manufacture stickers. 

I am assuming from this you can only use Dell toner in the Dell Laser printers.
