Datasafe uninstall.
My main problem is this, dell datasafe keeps trying to run but the folder it was in was deleted. I don't know why the process keeps trying to run but every 30 or so seconds i get an error message from DataSafe saying "An Unhandled Exception occured. Application will exist." I uninstalled it a few days ago and then did a windows system restore today. When I go into control panel to uninstall it windows tells me setup.exe has stopped running. I don't know how to fix it. Can anyone help me please?

Sorry not be be of help but I'm having exactly the same problem. Have you been able to resolve it yet?
I think this is a backdoor virus they put on the system just to get us to buy into their software technical help. It's all about the money, and Dell is about to lose some more. They had to log on remotely to fix my new laptop within the first month, and I think they imbeded something to create this bogus error. Everything still functions fine, except for this reoccuring message.
